i feel like updating this i suppose. yesterday i played my first show with the new band. it was short but went pretty well. the highlight was having one of my favorite bands come out from california to play the show as well. even better was spending some time with them after the show. along with a great show and some free merch i've made friends with some really great guys who all happen to be in a band i love. a huge thanks goes out to Graf Orlock and i hope to see them again in the somewhat near future.

this in itself seems kind of lame and not much of an update, but aside from this not a whole lot has been going on. things are well. i'm still very much in love with no signs of stopping. i'm hoping for a good nights sleep. hope everyone is well.

also, just before i hit "update journal" my entire left leg fell asleep from my toes up to my ass. this does not feel good. i thought i would add that.

so...an update

i went to a show last night. i saw 3 Inches of Blood at the Warehouse in La Crosse. Canadian old school metal in a tiny club of about 60 people? fuck yes. it was much fun. i got a badass shirt:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v298/andyhel/3ibshirt.jpg

this man has a very high voice:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v298/andyhel/3ib19.jpg

and one of the best parts will take some explaining. okay, so it's a booze free venue, which is awesome. instead they have crazy drinks from all over the world(includeing a japanese soda with a marble in it called Ramune). well they had another beverage that looked familiar. one of my favorite zombie movies is a japanese zombie movie called Biozombie in which the zombie disease is spread by a chemical weapon disguised as a soft drink. well this familiar looking beverage was an irish energy drink at the venue that looked like the one from Biozombie and i was so right...

so yeah. i was pumped about that. and it tastes good! so far i'm not a zombie...

we got kind of lost coming back...being lost through backwoods wisconsin towns is CREEPY. no good. but yeah, fun show. good times. things are good. the weekend was nice, some lovely downtime with mandi. went much too fast. i have more pictures if anyone cares to see. otherwise, i think i've taken up enough of your friends space...

it was a good weekend.

went home friday evening and met up with Mandi and some friends(Randi and Pat) at perkins, then went back to my house. i made a fort. it RULED. 6 chairs, 7 blankets, 5 pillows, and 2 yardsticks later...fort. everyone was making fun of me until it was done...then they all wanted to be in it with me. fort picture(aka look at how cute mandi is and how lame i look):

saturday was good as well. slept in, went to lunch with my friend Nick, ran around, watched a movie. saturday evening Mandi, Nick, Ben(oh god), and Tony came over and we watched C.H.U.D.(Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers for those not in the know) and it fucking RULED.

sunday, mandi and i went and saw Garden State which was so so SO good. everything about it was just...ugh. awesome. love it. if you haven't seen it, do so.

spent some time with friends(yay), lots of mandi time(double yay), and chilled the fuck out. all in all a very good weekend.

Karated explosion!

i just typed up a weekend wrap up...and accidentally deleted it. fuck.

my computer is fucked up...viruses and shit.

friday mandi came and got me and we went to the cities to see HORSE The Band. we met up with my good friend Tony(yessss...Tony rules.) and my friend Matt. we watched the first band, skipped the next 3(typical metalcore bullshit and such, anyone?), went to a coffee shop and stuff. HORSE The Band was by far one of the best live shows i've ever seen. incredibly fun, energetic, tight, and just fucking amazing. i'd pay a lot of money to see them play again.

saturday and sunday:
came home as my sister and brother in law were home for a weeding. that means Ruby was there as well. yay. spent some time with them, and some more time with mandi(always wonderful). i don't really want to get into any other specifics...no more typing. going home tomorrow evening as i don't have class on tuesday again.

i have an addiction to wild cherry capri sun.

bad.

hmmmmmmm?
